چکیده

The behavior of an asynchronous reactive system can be described by its set of action traces. In this paper, we investigate which properties a trace set fulfills describing a reactive system where input and output actions are distinguished. These properties reflect the fact that, for such a system, input actions can always occur. The required properties are discussed in the light of safety and liveness concepts and related to the concept of I/O-automata. * This work was supported by the Sonderforschungsbereich 342 "Werkzeuge und Methoden für die Nutzung paralleler Rechnerarchitekturen" and the DFG-project "Transformation verteilter Systeme".

The generation of fuzzy sets and the~construction of~characterizing functions of~fuzzy data

Measurement results contain different kinds of uncertainty. Besides systematic errors andrandom errors individual measurement results are also subject to another type of uncertainty,so-called emph{fuzziness}. It turns out that special fuzzy subsets of the set of real numbers $RR$are useful to model fuzziness of measurement results. These fuzzy subsets $x^*$ are called emph{fuzzy numbers}. The m...

Analysis of fold and fault-related fracture systems development using image logs at Asmari Formation in the Rag Sefid Anticline, SW Iran

Image logs of 13 wells in the Rag Sefid Anticline show two systems of fractures developed under two deformation phase in the Dezful Embayment. This deformation phases are folding resulted from Zagros NE contraction and reactivation of the basement fault rotated the fold axial trace within the Hendijan-Izeh fault zone. Folding phase comprises four sets of fractures, which include axial and cross...

Generating Discrete Trace Transition System of a Polyhe-dral Invariant Hybrid Automaton

Supervisory control and fault diagnosis of hybrid systems need to have complete information about the discrete states transitions of the underling system. From this point of view, the hybrid system should be abstracted to a Discrete Trace Transition System (DTTS) and represented by a discrete mode transition graph. In this paper an effective method is proposed for generating discrete mode trans...

Characterizing sub-topical functions

In this paper, we first give a characterization of sub-topical functions with respect to their lower level sets and epigraph. Next, by using two different classes of elementary functions, we present a characterization of sub-topical functions with respect to their polar functions, and investigate the relation between polar functions and support sets of this class of functions. Finally, we obtai...

Configuration Independent Analysis for Characterizing Shared-Memory Applications

Characterizing shared-memory applications provides insight to design efficient systems, and provides awareness to identify and correct application performance bottlenecks. Configuration dependent analysis is often used to simulate detailed application traces on a particular hardware model. The communication traffic and computation workload generated by the application trace is used as a charact...
